LORRIE ANN RIEDELVice President
Lorrie Ann spent time in Nelson, Burnaby and finally graduated from high school in Williams Lake. UBC granted her a BA in Psychology and a B ED in Elementary education. After many years of teaching, she went to Vermont and was granted a MA in Psychology and Counselling. She is currently a District Elementary Counsellor.

Daniel LinAdvocacy
Danniel has been working with youth and families since 2004. Starting his teaching career in Applied Design, Skills and Technologies, he broadened his scope to teach Psychology which drew him to mental health and SOGI allyship. As a secondary school counsellor within the VSB, Danniel also serves as a Staff Rep, Mental Health & Well-Being School Lead, Counselling Advocacy Committee member, and member of the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors.
KATHERINE BRACHPro-D Chair
After 15 years teaching and counselling in Nunavut, the Northwest Territories and Northern BC, Katherine has settled in Comox, BC where she works full-time as a high school counsellor. She is passionate about helping young people express themselves and face their fears. She also gets a lot of satisfaction out of creating a perfectly balanced timetable and learning shortcuts in MYED.
SHANNON CONFORTINMembership
Shannon earned her Masters in Counselling in 2006 and started her school counselling career at in Courtney, BC before settling at Parksville. She has training in Solution Focused therapy and intensive CBT anxiety training with Dr. David Burns.
NORBERTA HEINRICHSSecretary
Norberta completed her Masters in Counselling Psychology in 2016, while working on her certification in Somatic Experiencing® and has returned to École Ballenas Secondary, in Parksville, as the Grade 8/9 Counsellor. She also is an counselling associate of Stephanie Peter Counselling.
